Meet Fillet - needs cat savvy home

Fillet arrived to us angry, scared and with a pretty bad laceration injury. Our medical team helped his wound heal, and after a pretty long decompression period, he finally started to realize that humans are not all bad. He’s starting to enjoy petting with a back scratcher, and hams it up for the camera a bit. If you approach him with your hand, Fillet will show his disapproval with a hiss. He seems to be letting his guard down more and more with each passing day, and we believe Fillet will continue to open up with a cat savvy, patient human. A confident cat in the home should also help Fillet acclimate more easily to his new environment. Fillet is FIV+, but don’t let that push you away, as cats with FIV can live normal and healthy lives with regular vet care. If you’d like to meet Fillet, complete an application at Manchesteranimalshelter.org
