Fiero was found all alone hanging out on someones front stoop crying for help when he was about a month old. When Fiero first came to us he was very nervous of people, but soon warmed up and showed us his sweet side! We believe he was born in May of 2021 and would do well with most ages and other animals with proper introduction. Fiero can be a touch shy with new people at first, but in no time he warms up and is very affectionate. He also loves to lounge in front of the window, and find a fly to chase or a toy to play with!

All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org

When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition.

Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed.

If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only.
