ESTIMATED DOB: 2015
COLOR/BREED: Siamese Mix
Fabio was a stray brought to an animal control facility. He had a microchip indicating that he was originally adopted from another facility. The original adopter was unable to take him back so he stayed with Lulu’s Locker to find his forever home.
Fabio is our resident smarty-pants kitty. If you think cats can’t be trained to do behaviors/tricks, think again. Fabio has mastered kennel up (go into his carrier), sit, touch, kiss, shake, and come. He does expect Temptations treats as a reward for a job well done. Fabio is generally a low-energy boy who generally chooses to spend most of his day lounging and napping, and then lounging again. He does enjoy playing in short bursts with feather wand toys. You can try to catch that stupid red dot yourself - he has no interest in helping. When Fabio is done playing he just up and leaves, so try not to let that hurt your feelings. It’s not personal, he just has important napping to do.
Fabio is not a fan of other male cats. It is possible that he could be adopted into a home with a single calm female cat, but a home with no other pets is the most ideal situation for Fabio. Fabio will need to go to an experienced cat owner. Fabio has a history of biting people if they don’t have the ability to read his body language and signals. He takes a daily dose of Prozac to help keep him nice and chill. This medication is easily given to him inside one of his beloved Temptation treats.
In addition to Prozac, Fabio is also on a daily inhaler for his asthma. He is very good about participating in this part of his daily routine as long as he sees a Churu treat tube at the end of the tunnel. This is all part of his excellent ability to perform behaviors for delicious rewards! Kudos to his foster home for encouraging these positive associations. Fabio eats Hills C/D wet food to prevent urinary crystals. Fabio’s food costs approximately $90/month and his medications are about $15/month.
