Evangeline is a 1-year-old beautiful former mama looking for her forever home to be the pampered queen she deserves to be!

Miss Evangeline came into rescue with her 4 kittens whom she cared for diligently and patiently until she was no longer needed. They are happy and healthy babes, and now it's her time to shine! Evangeline arrived into foster care a sweet girl from the very start, and her personality never failed to amaze her foster mom. The term sweetheart was truly made to describe Evangeline.

Evangeline’s favorite things include chin scritches, cheek scritches, forehead scritches… well you get it…all the scritches! She leans so hard into them she can even tip over and her little purr rumbles through while she looks like the world's most satisfied, happiest cat. She loves a good window to look out, a head butt for a forehead kiss, yeoww banana catnip toys, and wand toys she can chase and show off her awesome hunting skills!!

You can find her relaxing on a bed or by a window, and she loves to greet her foster mom with some adorable chitter-chatter about her day and wants to know about yours too. Canned food time is the best time - yum! Her fur is sleek and soft, and her face almost kitten-like even in adulthood (though she’s just barely!) She likes horizontal scratchers, uses her litter box religiously (foster mom always keeps it nice and clean!), and being told that she’s a beautiful girl who deserves all the love in the world because it's all she gives her people.

Evangeline’s ideal home would be mostly quiet and filled with love. And while she isn’t shy, she does not care for the sporadic movement and noise of children, which makes her feel she has to hide. She is non-reactive to her foster mom's cats and has adapted well. So with proper, slow introductions, it is believed she would do great with other cats! She has not met a dog, but with proper, slow introductions to a dog that has already been around cats, she will likely be just fine. Evangeline would likely really enjoy a furry companion of some kind, especially because of her easy-going nature. She will not thrive in a home with young children or the intention of having kids soon, but teenagers would be fine. She is not a lap dweller but likes to be around and loves to interact and play, as well as announce what she’s up to, ha!

Evangeline had a non-cancerous mammary lump removed after her kittens were weaned and she was spayed. Her new family and vet will need to monitor that area for any changes. Otherwise, she’s a beacon of health and adorableness!

Evangeline just wants to give her final home and her furever humans all of her love, her chatty chirps, and lots of forehead kisses in exchange for all the scritches she can get, and sure hopes that home is with you!

All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
