Esse (Esmerelda) is a sweet, playful young adult cat who is looking to have a second chance after being abandoned in an apartment with her mom. She loves affection and rubbing up on you. She enjoys mealtime, as well. She plays well with other cats and likes being held. She is curious and playful. She likes cardboard scratch pads. She bites and chews on them. She enjoys lounging on a tall cat tree as well as in front of a window. She likes to watch birds on Cat TV. She has a higher energy level. She is always running and playing with the other cats.

She lives with 3 other cats, two small children, a geriatric dog, and two adults in a house. She would do well in a home with other cats she can run and play with and an owner who will give her lots of love and affection. In the foster’s experience with her, she is not a fan of dogs. She seems fearful and defensive when they are around because she hisses at them. She does great with other cats and is tolerant of smaller children. Currently, she is being given probiotics for acute diarrhea.
