Erik, The Phantom of the Opera Domestic Short Hair Suisun City, CA

Erik is a tender hearted, gentleman who will woo you with his soft voice and giant paws. We accepted him from Contra Costa Animal Services Department to continue his treatment for mites and help him feel more confident with people. He was diagnosed with FIV-which is very manageable and does not keep him from being able to live with other cats and kittens. He likes meeting new friends, loves lickable treats, he makes the biggest and most determined biscuits, and he will chat with you while you work. Since he was a stray, he has a few traumas that we are working to help him with, he is currently not tested with children. Everyone who meets him (he has done very well with strangers who are patient, seated, and offer him treats) remarks that he is a treasure. He routinely acts as a "nanny cat for young kittens. When he meets a cat, he stays close to his safe person. When cats have hissed at him, he immediately retreats to show he is no threat. He was introduced to a large, calm, and respectful dog-but he was too frightened for us to continue. His adoption fee is sponsored and he will come with routine medical testing completed and a care package to help with his specific needs. Erik is a very sweet and loving cat who deserves a chance to be a hero for someone who needs him.

Our cats/kittens are located in private foster homes, evaluated for temperament and personally matched to every applicant. *Kittens must be adopted in pairs or to a home with another cat*. Every cat/kitten is fixed, microchipped, vaccinated age/medically appropriately, parasite treated, and expertly trained to use a scratcher, carrier, and litterbox. Everyone goes home with a cape, a comic book, and a goodie bag with treats, toys, and a blanket that smells like their foster home.
