Meet Endora
Endora is a beautiful, 12-year-old girl who was brought to HART in November of 2022 by Friends of Feral Felines, whose volunteers were able to successfully trap her. Upon arrival, it was clear that she had an old but significant injury to her right rear leg, and we believe that Endora may have been struck by a car at some point in her life. Due to the extent of the damage, her leg required surgical amputation. She underwent this surgery in the winter of 2022. She recovered very well and has fully adjusted to only having 3 legs.
Endora was diagnosed as having hyperthyroidism, and it turns out that she is one of those rare cats who has a negative reaction to the medication typically used to treat this condition. Fortunately, she was a good candidate for Radioactive Iodine Treatment, which she underwent in the summer of 2023.
Since her treatment for her hyperthyroidism, Endora has been in a foster home. She is thriving and loves to be petted. She will follow her foster mom around and wants to be near her.
Endora will need regular veterinary check ups, so our medical team requires that an adopter has an established veterinary relationship.
This old lady is so done with being on the streets, she wants to be pampered and love. She is not currently living at the shelter but we can arrange a meeting if you feel your home is the one for her.
