What is Second Chance Animal Rescue, Inc’s adoption process?

The Adoption Fee is $120 for cats and kittens, $80 for senior cats (age 10+). Every cat has been spay/neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccinations as required by age (FVRCP and Rabies). To be considered as an adopter, you must: - Be the intended owner and primary caretaker – no third party adoptions are allowed - Be 21 years of age or older - Have identification showing your present address - Have the knowledge and consent of your landlord (if applicable), present proof or we can call - Have the knowledge and consent of all members of your household - Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide medical treatment and proper care of the cat - Currently own only spayed and neutered pets that are up-to-date on their vaccinations (special circumstances may apply) - Agree that you will not declaw the cat Our adoption application can be filled out and submitted right on our website at www.secondchancear.org (click the "Adopt" tab toward the top of the homepage, then scroll down to the "Online Adoption Application" button). Paper adoption applications are also available for pick-up or mailing in the shelter office, or can be printed from our website.
