Meet Ella

I am a mellow and friendly young adult cat and I was adopted from the SPCA when I was a kitten (about 8 years ago). I really liked my adopted family and I know they felt the same way about me. Recently my human family had to move to a place where cats are not permitted. They asked the SPCA to help me find a new family and that is why I am back at the shelter. I hope my stay is not too long because I really enjoy taking care of my human family. There are a few things my former family would like you to know. I am a calm, sweet girl but I can be shy around strangers and I sometimes get scared by loud noises. I enjoy using scratching posts and I like to be held. When the Vet examined me noticed a cloudy area in one of my eyes. So a special cat eye doctor examined and prescribed some drops for the eye. The cloudy area is called an ocular lesion and the special doctor will be back to examine me again. I hope this does not detract from your interest in me because I am a sweetie (that is what the picture lady said after spending just a short time with me.) Please visit and ask the Staff to introduce us. Maybe my new family is with YOU!

Please fill out an Adoption Application if you'd like to jumpstart the adoption process. To obtain an Application, please click or copy and paste the following link into your computer browser: http://www.spca914.org/adopt/adoption-process or email Shelter@spca914.org.

No appointment is necessary to come in and meet/adopt an animal unless noted differently above. You may also fill out an Application when you get here. We do same day adoptions. Please note, we do NOT hold animals, nor do we accept deposits in advance. Even if you have discussed coming in to meet an animal or have an approved Application with us this does not necessarily guarantee you will get that particular puppy or dog. All Cats and Kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated (age appropriate) and come with a free 7 day Veterinarian check from a participating Vet!

Our hours are Monday-Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday's 1pm-4pm. Fees are as follows: A kitten 1 year and under is $150, 2 Kittens are $250, Adult cats over 1 year are $75 and Lonely Hearts Club Members/Seniors are $55. Please visit: http://www.spca914.org/adopt/adoption-process to read our Adoption Policy and Procedures in full.
