Meet Elizabeth
Elizabeth is a lovely older adult cat, about 5 years old, looking for her forever home. She has had some tough times before she came to foster care, having been abandoned in an apartment with her kitten, Esmerelda. This pretty lady with the striking eyes is ready for a new, peaceful, secure life.
Elizabeth is a very cool, chill cat and loves affection. She is often rubbing on your legs and rubbing her face on you. She loves human food and begs like a dog would. If you leave your meal unattended, she will be eating it—so it’s important to make sure she sticks to cat food only.
This sweet girl loves to relax in front of the window and watch the birds and squirrels. If things are quiet, she will also be your couch buddy and hang out next to you while you watch a movie or read.
Although she doesn’t interact much with other cats, she seems to enjoy having them around. Elizabeth could be adopted into a household with another older cat. She doesn’t seem fazed by dogs as long as they give her adequate space.
Due to Elizabeth’s age and her earlier history, she has some minor health issues that will need to be managed. She has a raised lobulated growth (cyst) on the nape of her neck, and will also need routine ear cleaning with a cat-friendly ear cleaner.
She will benefit so much from a thorough dental cleaning, as there is some tartar and gingivitis present. Just think how much better she will feel if her mouth isn’t hurting her!
Finally, she has had a history of pancreatitis, but a special diet made for GI conditions keeps that under control.
This gorgeous girl has been through a lot, and has so much love to give to compassionate, patient humans. If you’d like to enrich your family by offering a haven of kindness, please consider adopting Elizabeth.
