Eli Domestic Short Hair Greenburgh, NY

Meet ELI, an 11 year old tabby boy whose owner was moving out of state and unable to take him. Eli was front paw DECLAWED as a kitten after being found in the owner’s backyard. He is shy at first but warms up very fast and is SUPER AFFECTIONATE. Eli has a wonderful PURR and even allows you to PET his belly. He seems interested in other cats in his foster home and clearly has lived with another cat. We think he would be fine with other cats after a slow introduction. At 18 lbs, he is clearly carrying some extra weight, and even though he has short hair, he has a thick undercoat that needs regular grooming (because he's too chunky to reach all of his body to groom it). Eli enjoys being BRUSHED and seems to have had some matted areas shaved off recently. Eli’s ideal adopter would have a QUIET home and understand what it means to adopt a senior cat (ex. senior medical care). Arrange to meet Eli.
