Meet Elenore (photos to follow)

Eleanor is a very affectionate cat who is talkative and purrs a lot. Once she’s used to a person, she loves attention, especially being petted and scratched. She has the look of a small Maine Coon, with medium length brown tabby coat and gold eyes. She is a polydactyl, with extra toes on her front paws. She has a good appetite and uses the litter box appropriately. She doesn’t play with toys often, but when she does, she plays hard. Her history with dogs or other cats is unknown. She would not be appropriate for a noisy household or a family with small children. She responds well to calm voices and treats. Eleanor is more easily frightened than most cats. The foster believes she was mistreated or poorly socialized, or both. Eleanor’s adopter must be experienced with cats and willing to give her lots of time to become accustomed to her new home. A place where she can hide and feel safe is a must. In her room at the foster home, she has gone from being so fearful that she would bite to asking for attention and loving to be petted. She still has a way to go, but she would make an excellent companion for the right adopter.
Please head to our website to fill out an application prior to setting up an online meeting. If the online meeting goes well for all parties, then we can set up a socially distant meet and greet. Once your adoption application is approved we will contact you to set up a meeting. http://nwac-oregon.org/adoption-application/ If you submit an inquiry instead of an application, this will delay the process and increase the chance someone else will meet YOUR dream cat before you do! If we get an inquiry, we will ask you to fill out an application before we respond to questions.
-The $140 adoption fee Includes spay/neuter, microchip, de-worming, current flea treatment, current vaccines for their age, and a vet exam. Unless otherwise noted, they have also had a negative test for FIV and FeLV.
Northwest Animal Companions is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the pets in our care.
