Meet Edith and Eloise (Bonded Pair, FIV+)
They both love to be around people; they immediately come to meet anyone new and get to know them by sniffing their shoes and checking to see if they have shoelaces to play with. Edith is a little more independent, only coming to play when she has checked out the whole room first; Eloise is the most loving and will climb right up to snuggle with you.
They both love wand toys, balls that jingle and any kind of laces or strings. They love to sit on the cat tree and look out the window and their little heads move back and forth as they watch rabbits and squirrels.
Edith is the leader and Eloise is the follower, so if one is eating, drinking water or playing, the other is likely right behind. They play hard and then fall asleep together wherever they get tired.
Their foster home has two adults, two middle-school children, and a resident cat that is three times their size and yet, afraid of them. They have their own room and roam the house only when supervised so they don't drive the resident cat bonkers with their kitten “enthusiasm.”
Edith and Eloise are FIV+ but that doesn't mean they can't live a long, normal, and healthy life—cats with FIV commonly have average lifespans. Because FIV is spread only through deep bite wounds, cats are able to live with FIV- cats in stable social environments. You can read more about FIV here: https://tinyurl.com/58sf9wtj.
They are super-friendly and easygoing, so would likely adjust to new surroundings very quickly. The girls have not met any dogs yet, and although they are a little wary of other cats, with a gentle introduction to things could be fine. Edith and Eloise are very social and need continued playtime and enrichment as they grow, but they are easy to love and would like a new home where their humans could carve out some playtime every day.
If you’d like to bring double the love and joy into your life, please consider adding the adorable Edith and Eloise to your family.
