Dusty's Story

Howdy, my name is Dusty. I was "rescued" as a kitten but my "rescuer" put me in a gross small kennel in a garage where they kept my brother Licorice and me for 2 years. One day the garage caught on fire and I was saved- no more cage living for us!

As a result of my difficult start I can be a little nervous in new situations and will need a few days to warm up. But trust me, once I warm up, I won't leave you alone. I love to roll around next to my foster mom and show her my belly. I also love to chat and will rub up on any object nearby my foster mom and give her a little chirp.

I have a sort of large primordial pouch that swings dramatically side to side when I power walk. Foster mom thinks its the funniest thing she's ever seen and is always trying to get a video of me running around the house-she needs to have some respect!

Whenever I stay at the Petsmart Cattery on Bay Area Blvd, people cannot believe how big I am. Despite my pouch I'm not overweight, I'm just a really large guy. Maybe I have some Maine coon in me, who knows. Foster mom tried to put a tennis ball in a pic with me to show how large I am, but she says it just doesnt do me justice.

My brother Licorice and I did live together in a small cage for the first 2 years of our lives and we would be happy going to a home together but we could also be adopted out separately. I do better with other cats than him anyways, and I don't mind the dog at my foster house either.

I really would love to have a chance at a happily ever after- I'm a very sweet guy who just needs someone who can understand I haven't had a really nice life in the past but am ready for love now!

Dusty is neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped, on flea prevention, dewormed and FeLV/FIV/HW negative.

To meet this gentle giant please submit a no obligations application here:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HPPL/Cat
