Dusky... approx. 5-1/2 years old as of May 2021. She is up to date on shots, tested FeLV / FIV negative, and spayed.
Dusky was a stray in Waterloo, Iowa. Dusky, is black with a dab of white on her chest and she is just a little doll.
Dusky started off quite shy but is doing much better with her socialization. She's out and about and running and playing! She was quite feral when she came in as a baby kitten so we are thrilled with her progress! Her brother is listed on here if anyone is interested in 2 kittens, his name is Leven.
2/9/17 UPDATE: Dusky is now about 1-1/2-years old. She is still a little shy but warms up after she gets to know you. She will be a kitty you need to set up in a room alone after you first adopt her. That way she can get to know you. We love when the shy kitties get adopted to experienced cat people who understand some kitties just need TLC and time to settle into a new home. Home with no children would be best.
2/20/18 UPDATE: Dusky does well with other cats. We also think if given time and proper introductions, she would be ok with dogs too. She should also be ok with older kind children.
Siblings: Leven, Dusky.

Dusky's adoption fee is $95.00 adoption fee.
WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. If you have assault, domestic abuse, or drug charges please do not apply. If you have questions, please send an email to waverlypetrescue@mchsi.com
All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $200 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
