Meet Duncan

***ADOPTION PENDING***

South County Cats is an all-volunteer, IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our rescued cats are fostered in volunteers' homes.

Duncan is ready for adoption! Duncan had a broken jaw and had several teeth removed. His recheck at the vet indicates his mouth is healed from his extractions and he is ready to go to his forever home.

Duncan is purrfectly imperfect. He comes "as is" with some baggage from his years on the streets. He is getting comfortable with the dog in his foster home. He seems to tolerate the cats, but has scuffled with them when trapped in a room with them. Duncan would do best as an only pet (fish are probably okay) but could probalby adapt to a home with a dog or cat. He has adjusted to indoor life and has just started showing interest in the catio. Duncan can nip or swat on occasion, so a home with no small children is best.

Duncan weighs in at 17 pounds. His mats are all gone and he LOVES to be brushed. His beautiful long coat is coming back. He'll need a soft food diet (dry food can be soaked) and he LOVES canned food. A visit to a quality pet food store is a good idea.

Duncan doesn't really like to be picked up, although he'll tolerate a lap for a few minutes. He did very well with the staff at his vet visits. He purrs, drools and snores.

If you are interested in adopting a very unique cat, and are willing to "take me as I am" please email southcountycats@gmail.com and we will send you an adoption application. Or visit www.southcountycats.org.

All of our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for roundworms and other parasites as needed. Duncan tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Adoption includes a certificate for a free vet exam at participating veterinarians and 30 days of free pet care insurance.
