Dory's Story
Dory - A Shy, Independent Beauty 🐾 A striking medium-to-longhaired calico-tabby-over-white who prefers to keep her distance. She's not friendly with people and can be very hissy when approached. Dory would thrive in a calm, quiet environment--such as a barn or similar setting--where she can have space, safety, and care without pressure to interact. (Currently in the West room.)<br/>🐾 Ready to Adopt a working cat? Tip 1: It is important that she/he is going to need time to acclimate to their new environment - better to place in a confined space with food, water and litter box for about a week or two before releasing into a barn-like open space area. TIP 2: Please make sure your home or lease allows pets and that you and others are prepared to welcome a new cat. TIP 3: For any pet, have the essentials ready: food and water, cat food, litter and a litter box (when needed), space for cozy, warm bedding, carrier and a designated veterinarian for ongoing care and/or vaccinations - for working cats, provide safe shelter from summer heat and cold winter nights, along with fresh water and dry food provided daily.
