Meet Dorothy from Oz. Dorothy is an eight-year-old Napoleon (long-haired Munchkin) mix. Dorothy wears her high-heeled ruby slippers on the front, so that her front legs are a wee bit taller than her back legs, which are munchkin sized :-). Dorothy is super friendly, and a purr machine. Are you looking for the most snuggly cat ever? Want a kitty who will cuddle on the couch with you? Want a kitty that'll snuggle in the bed with you? Want to share your pillow with the sweetest cat ever? Then, Dorothy is the cat for you. As you can see from her videos, she's actually the most precious cat ever.

She has also had a run-in with the Wicked Witch of the West who cursed her with a cauliflower ear on one side. But Dorothy will allow nothing to stand in her way of arriving in her new home. Will you give Dorothy her new home?

Dorothy does get along with other cats, but she might be happier as an only cat or in a home with other cats that are similarly submissive.

Sorry, we do not ship our cats or provide any transportation. All potential adopters should reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, or Louisiana. We will not adopt outside of those states.

Who We Are: We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. Adopters must make appointments prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Adoption Process: We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you call or email us, we will provide you with an application via email.

YOUNG CAT COMPANION POLICY: Unless otherwise indicated, all cats under the age of 3 must go into a home with another cat/kitten under the age of three or be adopted with a buddy. Ragdolls and Maine Coons are physically slow to mature, benefit greatly from the social interactions with another cat and often long for the companionship. Obviously, some young adults not raised around other cats or with more independent personalities may be exceptions to those rules, but that is up to the discretion of the Rescue to assess that need and is not negotiable. Special prices are made for buddy adoptions.
