Dorito came to us from a local animal control facility.

Do you want a snuggly, loving lap cat? If yes, keep reading! Dorito loves people and will be around them any chance he can get. He loves to curl up on his foster’s lap or alongside their legs, but always touching. He likes to reach his paw out to “hold your hand.” Dorito doesn’t love to be picked up and carried, but he does enjoy being picked up and set on your lap so you can snuggle him. Dorito is a big fan of belly rubs. Dorito loves attention and will even come up to strangers for love, but he is not exceptionally confident so he will do best with children who are calm and patient as a lot of commotion might make him a little more reserved. People are his first love. Dorito’s second love is food. He needs to be fed small meals or else he will over indulge and give himself an upset stomach. No free feeding for Dorito. He also will always want to know if you want to share whatever you are eating.

Dorito will do best as an only pet. He is not particularly fond of other cats and is kept separated from the resident cats in his foster home. Homes with a single female cat who will want nothing to do with him could be considered, but decisions will be made case-by-case. He has not been exposed to dogs so we do not know how he would do in homes with dogs.

Dorito is not a high energy guy and generally prefers lounging over playing. He is an excellent fit for someone who wants a constant companion and friend.
