Meet DORADO

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE YOU RESPOND.

It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.

DORADO and his 5 siblings (CASSIOPEIA - DRACO - VELA - ANDROMEDA - CARINA) were saved from the shelter in Riverside County. These guys were tiny, sick and malnourished. Don't know exactly where they came from...all we know is that had hours to live. We were asked to help and they went with one of our fosters.

DORADO is now ready for his "FUREVER" home. 80% of orange cats are male. For a female cat to be orange, she must inherit two orange genes — one from her mother (orange, calico, or tortoiseshell) and one from her father (who must be orange). A male cat needs only one orange gene, which he gets from his mother (orange, calico, or tortoiseshell).

DORADO is an orange tabby who is the assistant greeter of his litter. He loves to be scratched on the head and neck. DORADO loves playing with his siblings and the stuffed toys in his room. He’s a huge snuggle bug!! He likes to sleep between his foster's legs sometimes. He loves the top perch on cat trees. Curious about new things and very sweet. Gets along with dogs and cats. Loves watching TV!! Foster constantly sees him watching whatever is on the screen. He likes to sit in the window and see outside as well. DORADO will definitely need a young cat / kitten buddy at home.

DORADO's foster dad named them after the constellations. He says they are his SHINING STARS.

DORADO is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / MACKEREL TABBY MIX. He is about 7 months old. He is good with cats and dogs. He has never been around children.

DORADO is currently at PETSMART in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue.

************************ NO OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS ***********************

FEBRUARY 2023: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees.

Volunteers are usually at Petsmart between 9 - 10 am to 12 pm - 1 pm. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is at 5 pm - 8 pm. You can call the Petsmart location and find out what time an evening volunteer will be there. There is also a sheet on the cattery door with VISITING HOURS.

The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below.

PETSMART
in Murrieta, California off Madison Avenue

in Hemet, California off Florida Avenue

in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue

The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the adoption interview and home check have been done.. Gas donations always appreciated!

********** PLEASE NO CALLS. NO ONE IS AVAILABLE TO TAKE CALLS **********

If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.

Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.

We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient.

DORADO is ALREADY fully vetted.
The adoption fee of $200 covers:

Neuter
FVRCP shots
RABIES shot
FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative)
Drontal Dewormer
Stronghold Flea Control
Microchip

We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.

If for some unfortunate reason you missed out on the kitten/cat you emailed about...I'm sure that we could help you with another rescue baby! Just ask!
