Meet Dominic

This lovely, super friendly and social boy was found in an alley in Baltimore, coexisting with other neighborhood cats, but it was clear right away that he was just too sweet for the streets!

Once arriving at the Maryland SPCA shelter, Dominic couldn't stop purring and loving all the attention he was getting. He was an absolute angel for all medical treatments and just wanted to be touched.

Unfortunately, Dominic has tested positive for Feline Leukemia virus (FeLV+) on both a snap test and a more accurate IFA lab test. Other than this, he is very healthy with no other medical concerns.

Because of the risk of transmitting the disease to other cats, Dominic was being kept in a quarantine room at the shelter. Although shelter staff did go in to love on him a few times a day, it just wasn't enough for this extremely social, lovable, friendly guy. The shelter reached out to the rescue community, and Pets Bring Joy was delighted to find a foster home for him!

We are now seeking an adoptive home for Dominic, either with other FELV+ kitties or as the only cat.
