Dina **In a foster home's Story
From her foster mom:

Dina will need someone with a lot of patience, especially in the beginning. She gets very nervous in new environments and it takes months for her to adapt and gain your trust. For the first couple of months, she needs a good place to hide and observe. I have learned she is a very social kitty, just with a lot of trust issues.

Once she trusts you, she never wants to leave your side. I never would have guessed she was such a social cat. When I took her home to foster, from the months of July to September, she stayed in my room hiding. She wasn't comfortable being approached. If you respect her boundaries and give her plenty of treats, she will slowly begin to trust you. Once I let her explore the rest of the house and meet our two resident cats, she really started to grow into her confidence. She started asking for pets a few weeks later. I would say she needs other confident social cats to live with. She's not super playful herself, but she loves to watch the other two play. She wants other cats to snuggle up to.

It is very hard for her to adapt. Even though she comes up to me for pets now, if i move too suddenly, she's across the room. It still has only been ~5 months. If anyone is interested in her, they have to know that it may take more time. She lived in her previous home for ~12 years. She needs someone who wants to give her the time and space to reacclimate.

Her personality is very wholesome, gentle, and sweet. Like I said once you prove to her that you are safe, all she wants is affection from you and other cats.

A meet and greet will need to be scheduled ahead of time since Dina is not at Cat Haven.
