What is Homeless Animal Adoption League’s adoption process?

New Covid 19 Adoption Procedures as of June 26, 2020: Special Announcement June 26, 2020. Hi everyone. It has been a crazy three months in the world but it has been thankfully peaceful at HAAL. We have decided to stay closed to open public hours but will do adoptions through a new process. If you are interested in adopting please follow the steps outlined below: Step 1: Complete an application online which can be found on HAALNJ.org and email it to HAAL06@aol.com Step 2: Strong applications will be followed by a phone/ video interview when appropriate. Step 3: A meet and greet will be scheduled after a successful interview. (A meet and greet is not a guarantee of an approved adoption) Basically we are eliminating some of the human face to face time at the shelter and preventing overcrowding of visitors. We believe this is the best way to continue as the country continues to grapple with Covid 19
