Meet Dawn

Every morning, when the darkness of night gives way to the light of day, the rising sun brings hope, positivity, and possibility. The dawn of a new day represents a fresh start, a new opportunity. And our Dawn-her coat as inky black as midnight-is beginning to feel the first prickles of sunlight dancing on her heart-shaped nose.

Like the early morning hours, Dawn's presence evokes feelings of tranquility and calmness. She is a warm cup of tea on a crisp autumn morning. She is a sunbeam's reflection on a dewdrop in the humid depths of July. Dawn is a peaceful moment that must be appreciated in quietude. If you approach her slowly, as if she were a delicate leaf or a quivering bead of dew, she may let you pet her. But she is still nervous, waiting for her moment to rise.

Dawn, who came to us from a large colony situation, gets along well with other cats but hasn't had much socialization with people. And because new beginnings can be as frightening as they are exciting, this lovely tuxedo lady is sometimes hesitant to fully embrace her new life. You'll often find her snuggled up in a cozy cubby, wrapped in a fog of blankets. Dawn needs a patient adopter, someone who will give her time and space to emerge from the darkness of her shell into the bright light of love. And becauseshe finds comfort among a constellation of cats, Dawn would do well in a household with other laidback felines.

Our sweet girl has known darkness, but now she looks toward the sun. Can you be the light that guides Dawn to her new life? Fill out an adoption application today!
