Meet Daryl

Meet Daryl! Daryl is a handsome big boy who was rescued as a stray Tom cat. Though he was neutered right after, he still has that big burly Tom cat look to him and is a very good looking guy! Daryl is sort of like a dog in a cats body. He gets really attached to his human or humans and would totally act like a guard cat if any intruders came in. He’s the kind of guy who loves deeply and feels protective of his people. He mostly just likes to chill near his humans and hang out.
Daryl is looking for a home as an only cat with no young children. He is great and as sweet as can be with adults but he has not done well in his current living situation that has a dog and a young child. I think his biggest issue is his unhappiness at sharing his people with the dog as he is by nature protective and dominant. He may do fine with another kitty if she’s female but other than that to be safe I figure no other pets.
Daryl really loves the outdoors and would be happiest if he either were allowed some outdoor time responsibly (meaning he is collared and tagged and is not allowed outside past dark or when his humans are gone) or he would also most likely take well to a harness and leash for outdoor time. He’s very street smart and knows how to take care of himself, but he isn’t a huge wanderer he more just likes to get some fresh air.
If interested in Daryl please fill out an application on cnycatcoalition.org and you can also text his foster mom Laura at 315-415-7572
Daryl is also in need of a foster home and would also be available for a fostering to adopt trial situation.

Apply online at cnycatcoalition.org/adoption/adoption-application (say you saw the cat on Petfinder).

Your donation of $75 ($95 if the cat is microchipped) will contribute to the cost of veterinary treatments the cat has received, such as spay/neuter, rabies and distemper vaccines, testing, deworming medication, and flea and ear mite treatments.
