Darla Jo's Story
Y’all meet Darla Jo, a soft grey-and-white domestic shorthair with a heart as gentle as a summer breeze. This shy gal takes her time to warm up to folks—she’s a careful little soul—but once she trusts ya, she’s as sweet and loyal as a hound dog on a porch swing.

Darla Jo loves a quiet, patient home where she can mosey at her own pace and soak up love in her own time. Think of her as a country sweetheart: soft-spoken, tender-hearted, and full of quiet charm. Bring Darla Jo home, and you’ll gain a devoted companion who’ll follow you around like a little shadow, ready for slow, cozy snuggles and gentle purrs.

Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!
DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!!

Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances.

Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
