Meet Daphne
Daphne is such a loving and beautiful lady. She has a beautiful long orange coat on her the is soft like a bunny. She is by no means a small girl. She is a large cat.
She like to be petted and lay with you on the couch. She often gives headbutts to show her affection toward you.
She does great when going to the groomers. She was bathed and had a blow dry and never even gave the lady any issues at all. Just an all around perfect girl. The groomer did say that because she was not cared for before she developed a lot of matted fur and caused mild infection and pain to her skin. They also recommended no shaving due to the pain she felt from the matted fur and will cause more problems for her in the long run.
Daphne will require brushing at least 2-3 times a week due to her long hair and trips to the groomers a few times a year for baths. We ask that only people who have the time to take care of her fur properly inquire about her only. Up keeping with her beautiful orange fur is going to take time and the ability financially to send her to the groomers. This is a very special girl who needs tons of love and a good brush. Staying beautiful takes work.
UPDATE: Daphne is once again up for adoption however she is available only as a special needs cat. She will require Can Cat Food for her urinary tract the rest of her life. If she does not get the the food she will form crystals and cysts and in turn will tear her bladder again and she can form large kidney stones. This is in turn require thousands of dollars in surgery for her kidneys. Her potential adopter will be screened by her foster mom.
ONLY SERIOUS ADOPTERS REPLY AND THOSE WHO CAN PROVIDE FOR DAPHNE'S NEEDS. SHE IS A WONDERFUL AND LOVING CAT.
She gets along with dogs but because of her food needs she will be adopted as an only cat.
