Meet Cowboy Cody
Cowboy Cody's (we think he is somewhere between one and two) story is heartbreaking. He came into the shelter in September wearing a collar with an engraved name tag. No one could even touch him to remove it for over a week! He was terrified and sad in the shelter. We think someone loved him very much at one time and he loved his person but, no one ever came into the shelter to look for him.
He moved into his foster home in early October and he's come a long way. He is now talkative, good with other cats, chilled out, he likes to be pet but, is still shy and afraid of loud noise and lots of activity. He likes to be around people however, it takes him time to trust. He will be a total Velcro cat for someone if they have patience and give him time. We believe he was likely very attached to his owner and losing that person rocked his world. He'd likely do well in an adult home with people willing to give this boy the love and time he needs to figure out the new people are nice. This boy wants a new forever home and this time he wants it to be forever. He can't go through what happened to him ever again.
If you'd like to meet this cat or think this cat would be a good match for your family, please complete our adoption questionnaire at http://www.trentoncats.org/adoption-questionnaire/ and let your references know someone will be contacting them soon. All our cats are neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed and flea-treated, tested for FIV/FeLV, and microchipped prior to adoption. Thanks for opting to adopt!
