Meet Courtesy Posting - Stranger
Meet Stranger!! He showed up at his person's farm about 7 years ago, and since the food and shelter were adequate, he decided to stay. He was a full grown adult by then and already neutered (he's ear-tipped), but other than that we know nothing about his background. It took him a number of months to become friendly, but now he ''doesn't know a stranger'' (hence his name). We think we was probably well socialized as a kitten and then abandoned to carry on, on his own. He has happily lived outside with two good cat-buddies and several others that he didn't seem to like much. Both of his buddies have passed in the last year and he's terribly lonely. His person goes to the farm once a day (after cutting back from twice per day) and it's clear Stranger needs more human company than that.
When winter set in after the first of the year he was happy to stay in a safe room in the barn every night. When it got REALLY cold he moved into a room in the farm house for a couple of weeks. He seemed very happy to be out of the elements. He has very good ''house-manners'' and always used the litter box.
Because of his age (and loneliness), we think Stranger would be very happy to be an indoor/outdoor cat. If he had safe shelter at night and the company of people most of the time, he'd be a very Happy Camper!
Winter is coming!! Stranger needs a warm, safe place to spend his nights!! If you can help Stranger, please call Sarah at 513-808-3687.
