Almost 5 years old, Corina has been waiting patiently for her second chance since 2021, when she came to us from an abusive and unhealthy home. Life hasn't always been kind to her, but she continues to hold out hope for a loving, gentle forever family.

Upon intake, Corina tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) -- a condition that affects a cat's immune system. But don't let that scare you! FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives with regular vet care, a nutritious diet, and an indoor lifestyle. It isn't spread through casual contact like grooming, sharing food bowls, or playing -- only deep bite wounds, which are rare in calm, friendly cat households. Many FIV+ cats live happily with FIV-negative cats.

Corina is a soft-spoken sweetheart who needs time to feel safe. She's shy at first and will likely need a slow, patient transition into a home where she can decompress and feel loved. A quiet home with another mellow cat friend might help bring her out of her shell. She's also comfortable with older, respectful children.
