She was adopted from the shelter as a kitten, but unfortunately surrendered recently due to a change in her family’s living situation. Cookie will meow and purr to ask for attention or show affection, and is even dog friendly (slow introductions are always recommended). Returning to the shelter was scary for her, and although she is thriving in her foster home, she deserves a forever family. If you could open your heart and home to this gentle lady, please contact her foster parent today!

We are delighted that you are interested in one of the animals in our care at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Services. Specific animals get adopted quickly: *Puppies *Kittens *Small Breeds *Pure breeds We are the municipal shelter for the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. This means that we cannot hold animals for interested parties. It also means that many of our adoptable pets are strays and we don’t have any background or personality notes about most of them. Our advice is to come to our adoption center and meet the pet you are interested in asap.
