Colossus's Story

Meet Colossus — a big, lovable chunk of a cat with an even bigger heart.

At 4 years old, this handsome gentleman is neutered and medically up-to-date, ready to walk (well… more like plop) his way into your heart. Colossus is a mellow guy who loves company — he gets along beautifully with kids, dogs, and other cats.

Colossus does have separation anxiety and feels lonely when left alone too long, so he’d do best in a home with feline friends or a human who’s around often to give him the love and reassurance he craves. He’s a certified snuggle bug and would love nothing more than a buddy to nap beside.

Colossus is also FIV+, which means his immune system is weakened, and he’ll need to be an indoor-only cat to keep him safe and healthy. With proper care, FIV+ cats can live long, happy lives. While FIV is transmissible to other cats, it’s primarily spread through deep bite wounds — and since Colossus is about as chill and non-confrontational as they come, the risk is extremely low.

This gentle, friendly, and gloriously lazy boy is ready to find his forever home. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly companion with plenty of love (and squish) to share, Colossus might just be your perfect match.

Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!
DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!!

Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances.

Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
