Coalby is a beautiful, small solid black cat with emerald eyes. She was born around April 1, 2021, and was raised by her momma for the first 14 weeks outdoors. After being rescued with her two sisters, she has lived indoors since then. She has been spayed, wormed, and flea treated, and had her rabies shot. She’s litter trained and eats well.
Coalby is the baby among her sisters, in size and personality. It took her a long time to adjust to being indoors and around people but she has become the most trusting of the three sisters. She is the first in line for breakfast and waits to be petted on her head and back. She has a curious habit of turning her backside to you for a tail pat when she’s in the treat line. If she thinks she’s being slighted on the treats, she’s likely to grab your hand into her direction. She’s the only one of her sisters that occasionally meows; overall, she’s a quiet cat.
Coalby is wary of changes in the routine. She doesn’t have a lot of self-confidence but you can tell she wants to be a loving pet. She purrs and likes to be brushed on her back. She’s very curious but not very brave. She gives the laser light a run for its money and is a super-fast runner.
Coalby is bossed around by her sisters, but she enjoys their company. She might do best as an only cat or with another cat that would let her personality blossom. She needs reassurance and patience. You get the sense she’s just needs a little nudge to be someone’s friend. Once she trusts, she will be a loyal, best-friend kind of pet.
