Cleo Domestic Short Hair & Calico Mix Fishkill, NY

Cleo is wonderfully sweet and affectionate; even when she's meeting new people. She's very relaxed. She's had a hard time for the first part of her life, but she has welcomed the new chapter she has now. She gets along with other mellow animals, and she would do well in a home either with or without an animal companion.

She doesn't ask for much, just some snacks and a warm lap to cuddle on. She would make a lovely companion for a moderately quiet home.

Cleo was abandoned by her family that moved. She was pregnant or had just given birth when they left. We're told she had many litters of kittens and her family never arranged for her to be spayed. She was malnourished and dehydrated. In spite of her difficult situation, she's a great mama to her one surviving baby from this last litter. Thankfully, she'll never have to go through that again.

We estimate Cleo to be about eight years old.

Our required adoption donation is $150 per kitten or $125 per cat (older than 9 months). All our rescues are up to date on shots, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLV/Heartworm. They are dewormed, treated for parasites and free of fleas. Each is spayed or neutered and given a rabies vaccination.
