CLARK KENT aka "CLARKY" is looking for his very own super hero. He has been with us since he was a kitten, about 3 years now, and watched his siblings and mom get adopted. He was always very timid and happy to sit back and let them get all the attention. He liked just a few people and allowed pets from them, but continued to shy away from everyone else. So, as a kitten he had a severe upper respiratory infection that left one of his eyes scarred, and an occasional, chronic bout of congestion. A few months ago, while being treated for a URI, a search was done to see if he perhaps had a nasal polyp and while under anesthesia, he crashed and was brought back to life. As a result, he lost his eyesight. While he has regained some of his vision (he makes his way around the lounge easily and if you didn't know he had vision problems, you would never know it), but what he truly gained is a vision of a new chance at life! He has opened his heart and his mind to love and he adores all humans. He talks, and begs for love and attention (and canned food) and he gets all the pets and doesn't mind being picked up and carried around. This never happened before! He is so easygoing and super lovable. He now greets all the volunteers at the front door and has quickly become the favorite. This story doesn't do him justice. He is so special and deserving and worthy of a family and forever home, preferably with another kitty or two. We all love this little cat! Someone fabulous needs to notice him too!
