Meet Clarissa
Note: Clarissa can be adopted as a companion to another kitten or young, playful cat, or with her foster brother Keanu.
Who needs store-bought toys? Not Clarissa! She shows her intelligence and creativity by inventing toys! A piece of kibble, for example, can be very entertaining when batted around correctly. She does, however, enjoy store-bought cat kickers. She is quite social. She is always happy to meet new people and get some head scratches. She'll meet you at the door - and possibly slip out if you're not careful.
Clarissa loves other cats too. She enjoys a game of chase or a wrestling match with her foster brother, Fritz.
Clarissa came into our care on March 2, 2023, when she was about 3 weeks old, and not yet eating on her own. A rescuer was waiting for a train at a Long Island Rail Road station when a man who recognized her thrust the tiny kitten into her arms. Our volunteers cared for her 'round-the-clock, and she has grown into an affectionate kitty with a shiny black coat and bright gold eyes.
