Claire's Story
**NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens**

***Claire and her clowder were likely abandoned when they were less than 4 months old. Why such an assessment? Because the kittens were super friendly when rescued, which would not be the case if they were born feral. Claire would need a playmate in her new home, and sister Sugar enthusiastically volunteers for that role!

Claire is a sweet and gentle little girl. She is happy to get affection, but can take a minute to be completely comfortable with new people. She will occasionally curl up in your lap, but usually prefers to roll around beside you getting soft pets. She loves to play, jumping and chasing wands and playing with the track ball tower. She is an all-around great little companion for everyone!

Claire is a sweet, mischievous girl with a soft spirit. She’s nearly identical in looks to her sister Sugar, both being sleek, all-black beauties with tuffs of white ear fluff that make them extra adorable.

Claire loves being close to her siblings, often found in a cuddle puddle for naps, or lounging beside you for pets. Easy to handle and happy to be picked up, Claire is a wonderful companion with excellent eating and litter box habits. She is very bonded with her sister Sugar, and together they make the perfect pair for a loving forever home.

Would you like to make Claire and Sugar too, a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: https://www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.r.

All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it’s twice the fun for you, and half the work!
