Meet Cinder,

Cinder is an amazing thick coated gray male, about 1 year old. We don't know much about his past, but one day he was done with his nomad life - and he wandered up to one of our foster's homes - like he was ready to find a permanent family! He is very calm and chill, very easy to pick up, load in a carrier, trim nails, carry around... He likes to be around humans, trailing you in the kitchen, flanking you as you walk down the hall, sitting next to you on the sofa and giving you a little massage. While more of a couch potato, he doesn't seem interested in climbing or jumping on counter tops, and don't bother buying fancy beds - he won't use them. He prefers sleeping on the carpet, sofa, or chair. He does have playful streaks - chasing a toy around like he was a kitten, and sometimes he gets the zoomies and runs downstairs real fast only to creep back up and race away again!

Cinder seems very content to be a single pet now in his current foster home. The quiet and subdued environment (no other pets or small children) suites him perfectly, although a slow introduction to another cat done properly could work.

Cinder will be the perfect cat for the right family. He is really blossoming as an indoor cat. He shows no interest returning to an outdoor life and really displays a unique attachment for people. He warms quickly to new humans (he's been so sweet and affectionate to all his humans)! He is ready to be a permanent fixture in the next home - so please consider adopting sweet Mr. Cinder.

Laurel Cats does not have a shelter or storefront. Our kittens and cats are placed in the homes of loving volunteer fosters until they are adopted. This means our cats are accustomed to being handled and loved. Please ask questions if you're interested in any of our cats.
