Meet Chutney
Chutney’s brothers have been adopted, but this energetic, outgoing kitty is going to need a nice cat in her new home to make her feel secure and comfortable.
Chutney, Chipmunk and Cheeky were born to an outdoor momma in someone's backyard. The home owner took these shy but friendly kitties inside to give them a chance at a safe and happy life.
Chutney is the cutest kitty with a half milk stash and a streak on her face too! She is more calm and timid compared to her brothers but still loves to play with wand toys. Her favourite plaything is a chirping mouse, a self-play toy she really seems to enjoy hunting.
Chutney was caught later than her brothers, so is a little more shy and skittish compared to her brothers who had more time acclimating to people. She doesn’t like being picked up, but enjoys cheek scritches occasionally. She has taken over the foster’s desk chair as her own preferred seat, and will even sit on the desk or beside her foster as she works. A perfect WFH buddy if you are looking for one!
Chutney has a good appetite, loving wet, dry food and tube treats. She would do best in a quiet and calm home with teenagers/mature children, where her new owners can patiently help her to blossom into even more adorableness. A cat tree or even just a desk you’re willing to sacrifice is a must for this agile climber! With appropriate introduction and integration, Chutney will enjoy the company of a friendly and relaxed kitty in her forever home who can show her how to live the best life!
Would you like to make Chutney a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: avacats.org/adopt/adoption-form.
Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.
Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it's twice the fun for you, and half the work!
