CHRISSIE was found right after Christmas last year walking blindly down a major road – in traffic! A good samaritan stopped and snatched the very sick, tiny kitten from certain death. He brought her to Oasis and she was immediately taken to the vet. Her eyes were glued shut from a herpes virus, and suffering from a serious upper respiratory infection. Fast forward to springtime, she’s had many vet visits, medicines, and underwent two eye surgeries – one to partially remove the third eyelid that was literally stuck to her eyeball. Even with her one eye a bit cloudy, she can see well and has probably the brightest personality at Oasis! Chrissie, named after the gentleman who rescued her, absolutely loves to play fetch with you and her toys. Although Chrissie is healthy now, it is possible she may have a herpes flare-up in the future, when you would need to put drops in her eyes. She is very good with this. She would be best in a home without other cats, or an active cat-buddy who also has had the herpes virus. This girl is so high energy & happy, you cannot feel sad around her. She will melt your heart with her funny antics!
