Chris is a 1 year old orange tabby with white male. He is a BIG handsome cat, in the the words of his foster mom "a majestic beast". Though not a lap cat, Chris likes to be petted and purrs to show his happiness. He loves to play with toys, uses his scratching post like a good boy, and will chase/wrestle with another cat who wants to engage in play so we think Chris will be a good kitty buddy for a quiet home looking for a pal for their kitty. He may do ok with a dog buddy as long as the dog did not chase him and was good with cats. Chris loves his cat tower and watching outside to see birds and insects. He also loves to watch lizards scurrying around on the patio and squirrels running along the fence. He's very observant. Chris has been with us for awhile because he takes time to warm up to new people so he doesn't show well. For people who understand cats, we know it's not uncommon for a kitty to need time to adjust to new place and people. Chris is very loving and sweet with his foster family so given time he will adjust to a new family if given a chance. We know his forever home is out there somewhere! Chris is worth the extra effort! All of our cats and kittens are rescues. They are mixed breed unless otherwise noted. If a cat or kitten is tagged as a particular breed we do not have papers to verify the breed information. We assign breeds to our cats and kittens based on similar appearance, size, and temperament as described in the breed description of a purebred cat.

ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION: Cats R Us is a not for profit, 501(c)(3) cat rescue group that operates two small shelters and a foster home program in the Annapolis, Maryland area. Our main focus is TNvR-M (Trap, Neuter, vaccinate, Return and Monitor) of community cats but we also have tame cats and kittens available for adoption. All of our adoptable cats and kittens are found as strays. We are a NO KILL facility and our cats will stay with us as long as it takes for them to find their forever home. Our adoption fee is $120.00 for kittens under 1 year (2 for $200), $100 for cats over 1 year (2 for $180), and $150 - $250 for exotic breed cats or kittens. The adoption fee helps our rescue cover the cost of all initial vet work (we do not employee a vet so we have to go to vet clinics) including a wellness exam, spay or neuter, vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV (unless otherwise noted), treated for parasites (fleas, ticks, intestinal worms, ear mites), and microchipped.
