Meet Chloe
The top things to know about Chloe: She’s a fantastic snuggler. She is likely a fantastic mouser. She needs an experienced cat owner due to the sassy side of her personality. Best as an only cat.
Chloe is a sensitive soul. She has a sweet side, but also a sassy side. She startles and stresses easily so needs a quieter home. She still startles sometimes when the toaster pops up. Due to her sassy side and stressing easily she is not recommended with young kids or new cat owners. Kids were too much for her in her past home. She has done well with a dog visitor that is cat savvy. She would do best as an only cat. She is very territorial (her water bowl, her chair, her everything) around other cats; she is more stressed and testy; generally does not want to be friends with them. I have known her to merely tolerate only a few other cats; where long term coexistence seemed possible.
Chloe is a Tabby, seven years old and weighs around 9 pounds. She is not an aloof cat; she likes to be near. When foster mom comes home Chloe is always right inside the door! And she’s moving so slow that it seems she must just be getting up, so was laying right inside the door waiting! As mentioned above she is a fantastic snuggler at night and during couch time with her select person or people. However she does not want others to touch her. So essentially she allows/enjoys touch on her terms. She has perfected her warning growl. She doesn’t mind being picked up, but doesn’t want to be held for long. Getting her into a cat carrier, clipping her nails, or administering meds is not for the faint of heart. She shuts down at the vet office, so that’s good.
Chloe is obsessed with food. She needs a home willing to portion out her food and treats so she doesn’t overeat. And a home willing to work with her regarding (or accept) her keen interest in their people meals.
Chloe is almost certainly a good mouser. She has great bug hunting skills, laser focus and lightning fast reactions. We play a kibble toss game and she’s super quick and can block the kibble with her paws while it’s still in the air.
Chloe is spayed, FIV/Felv negative, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.
**Chloe does not warm up to people right away and will need a family who understands that meeting Chloe will be different than the Chloe that will bond to you over time**
Adoption fee is $100 + tax (no checks)

Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home.
Sometimes there is more that comes out about an animals personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
