Meet Chip
This husky white and pale orange cat’s name should really be "Chunk" since he is hardly as small as a "Chip." This guy came to STAF via a rural Kentucky shelter, as he was rescued from living in a dangerous trailer park. The folks at the shelter bathed him to get all of the oil and flea dirt off the poor little man. After he was cleaned up, his rescuers discovered that he tested FIV positive, and knowing that STAF understands that FIV positive cats make the most wonderful house pets, we were asked to help.
Although Chip looks like a guy that was out scrapping with the boys, he is the sweetest, most gentle giant in the world. We know he must have been a "chic magnet" in his roaming days, and now that he will spend the rest of his life indoors, he has settled down and is happy to spend his time catching fake mice, lounging in laps, and most certainly, engaging volunteers in lots of conversation. We figured that he must have been hanging around a garage, as evidenced by the oil spots in his fur. So if you are short on conversation with Chip, you can surely get some advice about keeping your car in tiptop shape. Or, if you just want to tell him how very handsome he is, he is definitely all ears!

Cat adoption information and application can be found at www.staf.org.
All cats and kittens have been vet-checked, spayed/neutered, and are up-to-date on vaccinations. Adoption fee includes carrier, scratching pad, starter pack of food and litter, and toy. We prefer kittens be adopted in pairs. We offer free advice anytime about your adopted cat. If, for any reason, it doesn't work out, we will take the cat back, anytime in the future. Potential adopters must be interviewed in person, at the shelter, and live within 150 miles of Cincinnati. We will ask you to return to the shelter for a second visit to be sure of your decision. Sorry, we do not ship our cats or kittens! Please email Jean at jean@staf.org for more info. on adopting!
