Charmander (Est DOB 7/9/14) was a stray struggling to survive in a local community before he came to ARC. He was not treated kindly of the people by the neighborhood and was threatened harm for "bothering" them by begging for food and attention. Charmander also need immediate medical attention - he had a tumor on his front right leg and was dehydrated and emaciated. Our vets removed the tumor (which was benign) and gave him a clean bill of health. He has been recovering from surgery and gaining weight in a foster but is available for adoption and will return to the shelter shortly. He is very social and affectionate and once he is an appropriate weight (he currently weighs about 8lbs but should be closer to 11 or 12lbs) he will be a large cat. He does well with other cats and doesn't seem to mind dogs. Charmander is neutered, tested negative for FELV, FIV, is up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.
