Charley Kitty (cat and dog friendly)'s Story
At the beginning of June 2025 we welcomed a very special young cat (just 16 months old) into our care — her name is KITTY, but we are now calling her CHARLEY.

CHARLEY came to us after the veterinary technician who used to trim CHARLEY's nails reached out on behalf of her owner, who is sadly facing a terminal illness and needed to find a new home for her beloved companion.

CHARLEY arrived with a handwritten note expressing how much her owner and she meant to each other. They used to play fetch, sleep curled up together, and exchanged kisses and cuddles throughout the day. The bond they shared ran deep, and it was clear CHARLEY had been cherished beyond measure. We're sure she brought great solace to her owner during her illness, and respect the amount of strength it took for her to let CHARLEY go.

The letter included a list of commands that CHARLEY knows — a reminder of just how smart she is. Most of all, she asked just one thing: that CHARLEY be adopted to a patient, loving home where she can adjust and be adored like she’s used to.

CHARLEY is a SUPER NICE CAT!

She is gentle, affectionate, and playful. She’s looking for someone to be her new best friend — who will love her just as deeply as her first human did.

She is great with other cats (and several dogs who have passed through her foster home) and would love a cat friend to pal around with.

We promised her owner and CHARLEY that we will find her the perfect match. If you think you could be CHARLEY’s new beginning, or know someone who might be, please apply adopt her at www.passion4paws.org/adopt.

CHARLEY is spayed, vaccinated and negative for FIV/FeLV. She is being fostered in New Milford, CT.
