Chanel is estimated to be approximately 4-5 years old. Weighing only 7 pounds, she has a petite build and is mostly fluff. Her fur is some of the softest you’ll ever feel! Her hobbies include looking out windows, grooming herself, playing with strings, and kneading fuzzy blankets.

While Chanel can be independent, she is also friendly and affectionate. However, as with most cats, everything is on her terms. She loves to be petted, sometimes likes to climb into laps, and sleeps by her foster dad’s feet every night. She loves plopping down on her foster mom’s pillow, and sometimes she even plops down on her foster dad’s chest or stomach.

This little lady mostly enjoys napping in a quiet area, but she can be very playful when the mood strikes her. If you’re petting her, and she wants to play instead, she may communicate that by giving your hand a love bite. She’s a sweetheart with no intention of hurting anyone and will only gently place her teeth on you, never leaving a mark.

Chanel would likely do best in a quiet and calm home with an experienced cat owner that has no children, dogs, or other cats. While she likes to play and cuddle with her foster parents, the other foster cats make her moody. She absolutely adores being an indoor cat now, but she’s still learning how to differentiate between her scratching pads and her foster parents’ furniture.

Prior to being rescued, she was living a rough life outdoors at a trailer park. She developed an autoimmune condition called pododermatitis on her front paws, but it doesn’t slow her down. When looking at her paw pads at close range, you simply may notice the puffy appearance. She’s also missing several lower teeth (incisors), but it causes her no trouble when eating crunchy treats and kibble.
