Cayenne Domestic Short Hair Mix Appleton, WI
- Orange / Red
- Coat length
- Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered, special needs. Cayenne had a dental cleaning with some tooth extraction while at FVHA. The sutures in the mouth will dissolve naturally over time. She should be on soft food only through 08/07/2019 while the extraction sites heal. Cayenne also has some scabbing/dermatitis around her neck, ears, and right chest. Live fleas were seen on Cayenne for which she was treated. It is likely her scabbing is secondary to her flea infection and should continue to be monitored overtime for resolution. Cayenne was also diagnosed with a disease called Feline Immunodeficiency virus (FIV). This is a disease that is transmitted between cats through bite wounds and causes a generalized wakened immune system. Due to this, it is possible that Cayenne may be more susceptible to acquiring disease/illness throughout her life, and may require increases veterinary wellness checkup/monitoring treatment overtime. This illness cannot be transmitted to people, but can be transmitted through cats with bite wounds. Due to this, Cayenne may need to be the only cat in the household. We strongly encourage any future adopters to fully research this disease prior to adoption to determine if Cayenne is the right fit for their household.
Adoption Fee: $25
Included in the adoption fee are rabies & distemper vaccinations, deworming, spay or neuter surgery.
Cayenne was abandoned at the shelter
