CASSIOPEIA Extra-Toes Cat / Hemingway Polydactyl & Tuxedo Mix Palm Desert, CA

It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.


CASSIOPEIA and her 5 siblings (ANDROMEDA - DORADO - DRACO - VELA - CARINA) were saved from the shelter in Riverside County. These guys were tiny, sick and malnourished. Don't know exactly where they came from...all we know is that had hours to live. We were asked to help and they went with one of our fosters.


CASSIOPEIA is now ready for his "FUREVER" home. CASSIOPEIA is a polydactyl. A polydactyl cat is a cat with a congenital physical anomaly called polydactyly, which causes the cat to be born with more than the usual number of toes on one or more of its paw


CASSIOPEIA is a black and white Tuxedo who is the official greeter of her litter. She is very inquisitive and has been the first of her siblings to do many things. She is quick to purr, loves head scratches and climbing either furniture or people. Laps are quickly becoming her favorite place to hang out and she will cry out if no other cats or people are around so she definitely likes to have company. She loves to play with all of her siblings and is very interested in the resident adult cats in the home. She is very cute and her extra toes just make her that much cuter.


She will NOT be adopted out if there are no other young cats / kitten in her new home.


CASSIOPEIA is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / POLYDACTYL TUXEDO MIX. She is about 6 months old. She is good with cats and non-reactive to with dogs. She has never been around children.


CASSIOPEIA is currently at PETSMART in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue.


ADOPTION PROCESS:

1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT)
2. Fill Out Online Form
3. Submit Online Application
4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview
5. Will be notified of Approved Application
6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)
7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty
8. Sign Adoption Contract
9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)
10. Take the Kitty Home

JANUARY 2023: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees.


Volunteers are usually at Petsmart between 9 - 10 am to 12 pm - 1 pm. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is at 11 am. We are working on getting evening volunteers too! Email us and ask us. We will let you know what days evening volunteers are there.


The cats/kittens at a foster/rescue home, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below.

The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc....once the adoption has been finalized. So gas donations always appreciated!

If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.


Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.


We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out be patient.

FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative)
Drontal Dewormer
Stronghold Flea Control
Microchip


We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.
