Meet Casper
UPDATE- CASPER WAS PLACED AT THE LOCAL CARE CENTER 16 MONTHS AGO. He quickly found a couple at the center that loved cats and spent most of the time in the care center in their room. Housekeeping staff was in charge of his care and called and said she was no longer willing to care for him. The care center surrendered him back. Our shelter vet was providing free vet care and so this was the first we heard of problems and were getting great reports. We know the housekeeper thought the new alarm system and staff bring in dogs and cats were stressful. He is very distraught and confused and we are letting him decompress. His owner surrendered Casper and is getting rid of all her cats. She works from home and they bother her. Casper is feline leukemia and FIV negative. He did come in with several abscessed teeth that will be removed next week after a course of antibiotics. He is scared but sweet.
