Carrot Cake's Story

Meet Carrot Cake a 9 month old female white/brown tabby with a mix of orange kitten. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccines and microchipped. Carrot Cake was rescued and put into foster care with a ruptured Achilles tendon and atrophied muscle in her back left leg. She has fought through this injury with a lot of pain, physical therapy and months of acupuncture to get where she is today and has beaten the odds! As a result it does make her walk a little funny but it is no longer painful and doesn’t impact her quality of life. Carrot Cake can still run, jump and climb like any other cat! She does have occasional potty accidents usually when she is startled, hurt or can’t get to her litter box fast enough. These moments are already incredibly rare and becoming even less frequent as she matures. Her adopters will receive plenty of guidance and tips from us to make her transition smooth and successful. Her personality shines with her friendliness and silly loveable quirks that make her the unique and special needs kitten that she is. She likes to suckle and knead her tail, burrows under covers to cuddle with you, gets the zoomies , great at doing front flips and loves her belly rubs. With a proper introduction Carrot Cake she will do good with other cats, small dogs and respectable older children in a stable indoor ONLY home with a consistent routine. If you are interested in adopting her please visit our website Treasuredfriendsrescue.org or with questions contact her foster mom Alix at 219-310-5602
